Abstract

Primary Nasopharyngeal tuberculosis is a rare entity. We report a case (first such case in our medical college) of a 40 year old female who presented to us with foul smelling nasal discharge. Nasal endoscopy was normal except irregular nasopharyngeal mucosa and biopsy was taken which showed nasopharyngeal tuberculosis.
The patient refused to take ATT and later after 2 months came with bilateral neck nodes which on excisional biopsy proved to be tubercular. The patient was then put on ATT. Patient responded and is on regular follow up.
